Mrs. Hill teaches this class. The name of the class is pretty self explanatory. We learn the English language. English is probably one of my all time favorite classes. The rules of the language and structure of sentences have been a strong part of my schooling since 5th grade.

Blue Ribbon Ceremony: I chose someone that made a positive difference in my life. In preparation for the Blue Ribbon Ceremony, I decorated a blue ribbon, wrote a 6-word memoir about my guest, and constructed a paragraph describing why and how my guest impacted my life in a positive way. I got to present my guest with these artifacts at the Blue Ribbon Ceremony on Friday, November 16, 2012. My favorite part of this activity was speaking in front of a crowd.
*Persuasive Writing: To begin writing persuasively, we learned how to effectively argue. We discussed different cases, such as wearing armbands to school and wearing band t-shirts to school. I learned people can be easily persuaded through writing. Eventually, I chose my own topic in order to write a persuasive essay. My main argument was Gabe should go out for wrestling.

December 2012 Entrepreneurship Project.
The business I chose for this project is Clear Lake Boats. My group and I were able to interview Scott Maulsby on 12-14-12 One of the most interesting things I learned from the interview was why Scott's dad started his business. I am looking forward to iMovie.
